National News: The NDA’s Vice Presidential nominee, C.P. Radhakrishnan, officially submitted his nomination papers on Wednesday at Parliament House. The occasion turned into a display of unity and strength for the ruling alliance, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally accompanying Radhakrishnan during the filing process.

Presence of Top NDA Leaders

The event witnessed the participation of almost the entire top brass of the NDA. Alongside Prime Minister Modi, BJP President J.P. Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Kiren Rijiju, and many other senior NDA leaders were present. Their attendance underscored the significance of the moment and reflected the confidence the alliance has in Radhakrishnan’s candidature.

Nomination Filed in Four Sets

The nomination was submitted in four separate sets, as required under parliamentary procedure. Each set carried the endorsement of 20 proposers and 20 seconders. Notably, the first set carried the signature of Prime Minister Modi, who endorsed it as the chief proposer. The remaining sets carried the signatures of senior Union Ministers and NDA leaders. This arrangement not only fulfilled the formal requirements but also symbolized the broad consensus and strong support that Radhakrishnan enjoys within the alliance.

160 Members in Attendance

The nomination filing was marked by an impressive show of strength, with around 160 NDA members, including Union Ministers and Members of Parliament, gathering at the Parliament House. The event turned into a demonstration of unity, with senior leaders standing shoulder-to-shoulder in support of the NDA nominee.

Unanimous Decision at Key Meeting

The decision to field C.P. Radhakrishnan as the NDA’s candidate was taken unanimously in a crucial meeting of alliance leaders. The meeting was convened at the residence of Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, where the leaders deliberated on the candidature. According to sources, there was complete agreement within the alliance, signaling a rare moment of unanimity.

Support Confirmed by Allies

Confirming the united stance, senior NDA ally and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi stated that all leaders present had pledged full support to Radhakrishnan. He emphasized that the alliance stood firmly behind the nominee, and his candidature reflected not only political consensus but also the trust and acceptance he enjoys across the NDA spectrum.

A Symbol of Unity

The nomination event underscored the NDA’s effort to present a picture of cohesion and unity in the run-up to the Vice Presidential election.
